This intervention is intended for patients who have aesthetic and/or functional discomfort in the inner side of the arm, characterized by a sagging skin accompanied by a localized surplus of fat in the area or without manifestation thereof.
What is the purpose of this intervention?
The skin of the inner side of arms is distinguished for its subtlety, and its elastic fibers are brittle. Thus it quickly loses its original state as a result of natural aging and weight changes, thus leading to a sagging skin in the area. To the problem of skin surplus, a localized manifestation of excess fat in the area can also often be added.
This intervention has a dual purpose:
- elimination of excess fat by lipoaspiration
- restore the elasticity of the skin surrounding the arm by arm lifting
What are the remaining scars ?
The scar will be located exactly on the inner side of the arms. So that when the patient’s arms are completely lowered down the body, the scar will not be visible either front or back. The length of the scar will depend on the size of the area to be affected.
What are the main stages of arm lifting ?
The intervention itself is preceded by the implementation of preoperative markings that allows to clearly identify the areas of exposure.

This patient asked for advice about the aesthetic request of her arms. She did not have any special conclusion of anamnesis before, except for weight loss of 25 kg as a result of dieting. Her request concerned exclusively the arms. She complained of skin hanging down in the inner side of her arms. The patient experienced great discomfort when her arms were open, she wanted her arms to be more subtle and uniform in terms of expression along the entire length starting from the forearm area.
The examination revealed the presence of a moderate excess of adipose tissue in combination with the sagging of the skin of the inner side of the arms.
This patient underwent arm lifting consisting of lipoaspiration of a localized surplus of adipose tissue and performing resection of excess skin. The remaining scar is placed on the posterior-inner side of the arm making it thus inconspicuous when the patient’s arms are lowered down along the body.
